Bird netting is one of the most effective ways to keep pigeons and gulls out, but only while it is intact. Over time, weather, wear and work on the roof can tear the net, loosen its fixings or open up gaps at the edges, and birds are quick to find them.
JR Bird Management repairs bird netting on homes, flats and commercial buildings throughout Kent, East Sussex, West Sussex, Surrey and South London. Whether your netting is on a balcony, across a courtyard, under a canopy or around rooftop plant, we restore it so birds are kept out again.

It is worth checking your netting after storms and at least once a year. Look out for:
Any one of these means birds can get through, and a small gap soon becomes a bigger problem.

We start by checking the whole net and its fixings, not just the obvious damage. Then we patch or replace the damaged sections, renew worn fixings and support cables, close any gaps around the edges and re-tension the net so it sits tight again.
If birds have got in behind the net, they need to be out before the gap is closed, so do let us know when you call. Our repairs are fast and efficient, keeping disruption to a minimum.

Damaged netting can usually be repaired, saving the cost and hassle of a complete replacement. If the netting is old, brittle or was never fitted properly, new bird netting can be the better long-term choice.
Either way, we will tell you honestly which makes sense and give you a detailed cost breakdown before any work starts.
Where we work
Questions
Yes. If you have existing bird netting on your property, we can repair it, whether or not we fitted it. We check the netting and its fixings and tell you what needs doing.
Usually, yes. Repairing netting restores protection without the cost of a full replacement. If the net is too worn to repair, we will tell you and quote for new netting.
Look for holes, sagging sections, gaps at the edges or loose fixings, and for birds or fresh droppings behind the net. Any of these means birds are getting through.
